Be mine.

Hope you all enjoyed Valentines Day this weekend!¬†Whether it was with your significant other or a fun girls night . ūüėȬ†Or maybe you don’t care about the mushy holiday at all..? This is what I wore for V-Day.

I love the contrast of the light pink and the black lace on this blouse. I originally imagined wearing black with it, but for Valentine’s Day decided to make it exciting with these coral colored cropped jeans. A little bit of a springy look.

I chose these orange heels to keep it fun and interesting. Don’t be afraid to color-block and wear two different colors together either similar shades or ones that contrast. I think these colors worked well together.

One of my favorite desserts of all time. Don’t mind if I do. ūüėČ

What I wore:

BLOРUSE: Rachel Roy, I just bought this so surprised its sold out already. Maybe because it was on sale. Other lace blouses I like with a similar look are here, here and here.

JEANS: Mother (on sale), same, but mine are a little cropped, for the same effect, just fold jeans up a little.

HEELS: Elie Tahari, sorry to say that these beauties are sold out. Inexpensive alternative¬†here¬†(click on orange, pretty cute) or these by Steve Madden. Other options,¬†high-end, are these gorgeous orange¬†Jimmy Choo’s, option 1¬†(neon)¬†or option 2¬†or pre-order these by Saint Laurent.

NAILS: Initial color: Bikini so Teeny” then a color change to “Where’s my chaffeur? by Essie.

BAG: By Zac Posen is no longer available. ūüôĀ Similar look¬†here¬†and a tote bag thats a little more pricey but I love is here.

LIPSTICK: Lime Crime

Espresso Profeta.

This next post is a continuation of the last, but I thought I would separate it because as I told you in my “about moi” section, my blog is going to be about food as well. Although this¬†post is more about coffee, not food. Tomato Tomahto.

Profeta Cappuccino.

I love this little coffee shop in Westwood, Los Angeles. Espresso Profeta. It’s so cute with its brick walls and red and white tables, looks very European. Which makes sense because it is an Italian coffee shop. LOL. Their cappuccino’s are my favorite. Delicious and perfectly made each time. The baristas add cute little designs on top of the coffee (as do a few other trendy spots in LA) but I still get excited like its the first time. Inside on the walls are paintings by local artisans available for purchase. On the outside there is a little patio enclosure that is surrounded by lots of greenery, trees and leaves, reminds me of a little secret garden. Very relaxing to go out there and sip some coffee along with good company and conversation. ūüôā In this pic I am sitting street front. You can see a glimpse of the green enclosed patio behind me in this picture. Much more green in the summer I must say, but still pretty.

Movin’ Monday.

Ello loves! Welcome to my very first blog post. And Happy Monday. Back to the grind.

In today’s post, I am wearing a couple of staple pieces. What I love about these is that you can wear both of the pieces with literally anything.¬†The shirt is nice somewhat stretchy material with (faux) leather sleeves. I love that little bit of edge that it gives to the outfit you are wearing. I’d wear this shirt with anything. Pants, colored or printed jeans or even¬†ripped / shredded¬† jean shorts for more of a relaxed look (outside of work).

For work you can pair the pencil skirt with a blouse, a button-up shirt, a nice tucked in tee that can be dressed up by just adding a statement necklace (shown here), an oversized¬†sweater, a button-up shirt / sweater combo if it’s cold out, or a tank with a blazer.¬†Will feature these looks in later posts. This one has a zip up back which makes it fun and you can adjust the height of the slit to your liking. I have several pencil skirts but something about the black pencil skirt says “Let’s get down to business.”
